Training, Campaigns and other Activities

TRAINING

Livingstone Living Well supports and promotes free community training that is evidence-informed and delivered by professional trainers.

 

Mental Health First Aid; 18 to 19th May 2026; free; funded through the Qld Government's TRACC program.

 

Mental Health First Aid Refresher; dates to be confirmed; 1/2 day; free, funded through the Qld Government's TRACC program.  EOI Clare Cullinan (Trainer); Email:  CQMHAODS_TRACC@health.qld.gov.au

 

As a member of the National Wesley Suicide Prevention Network, we are proud to promote their free, government funded Wesley LifeFORCE Suicide Prevention Training:

Community Service Professional Suicide Prevention Training

  • Gambling and Financial Counsellors

  • Supporting Young People 

  • Disability Support Work

These three training opportunities range from 2 to 6 hours depending on the program.

Culturally Responsive Suicide Prevention Training

  • Refugee and Aylum Seeker Program

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Suicide Prevention Training.

These training opportunities are around 5 hours.

CAMPAIGNS

Livingstone Living Well supports a range of campaigns that assist community cohesion, connection, mental health and suicide prevention.  We prioritise: sharing evidence-informed resources, and challenging stigma related to mental health concerns and suicide.

ACTIVITIES

Livingstone Living Well undertakes a range of activities that assist community help-seeking, connection, mental health and suicide prevention.  

 

Help Seeking

  • Mental Health Care Packs

    • Distributed through Qld Health; contain grounding activities, resources and comfort items including food and water; highlights the kindness of the community and strangers; supported by QLd Health and the QCWA Seasiders Branch in Yeppoon.

  • LLW Fridge Magnets with crisis numbers and positive messaging

  • Emergency Relief Flyer and poster

    • Includes local services and supports as well as regional, state and national.
